PITTSBURGH — A market and deli on Pittsburgh’s Northside was shut down this week after wastewater was found in the basement during an inspection.
Allegheny County Health Department inspectors were sent to the Hanini Market location on Brighton Road on Thursday.
According to a report, the inspectors found wastewater leaking from the grease interceptor onto the basement floor.
Inspectors say the basement needs to be cleaned and sanitized after the grease interceptor is repaired and professionally serviced. Inspectors require Hanini’s to contract with a grease trap service and have plumbing repairs done by a registered master plumber.
Inspectors also found other violations, like improperly cooling cooked foods, a handwashing sink without water and loose rodent bait in the basement.
