Many areas picked up several hours of freezing rain overnight before warmer air started moving into the area. A wintry mix will continue north of Allegheny County and into the mountains as the precipitation shuts off by mid-morning.

A few secondary roads could be slick with patches of ice and slush. Trees will be covered with ice until temperatures warm into the 40s later today.
We’ll get a break from the winter weather on Friday before another system brings a cold rain on Saturday. That rain could mix with some sleet or snow toward evening, but most areas will see high temperatures well into the 30s keeping road issues at a minimum.
