Emergency crews were called to the 1400 block of Jenny Lind Street just after 5 p.m.

A Channel 11 crew in the area could see the flames from streets over.

McKeesport’s fire chief calls the fire suspicious. It’s the second fire at the house in the last few months. The first happened in July and was limited to the first floor.

This time, the house was destroyed.

“Another house gone,” neighbor Alvin Green said. His uncle used to own it.

“I know every inch of that house,” he said. “My uncle worked the railroad to buy that house [...] It didn’t come cheap and it didn’t come easy.”

The house has been abandoned for years. Green isn’t sure who owns it.

About 10 departments helped fight the fire. No one was hurt.

The fire marshal is investigating.
