DERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Flames damaged a house in Derry Township on Wednesday.

Westmoreland County dispatchers said firefighters were called to the 4000 block of Route 982 at 1:18 p.m. for a reported attic fire.

Derry Township Volunteer Fire Department Fire Chief Mark Piantine said five people live in the house. Everyone who was inside was able to get out safely.

Piantine said the fire started in an area where the home was being remodeled. Most of the damage was on the second floor.

No injuries were reported.
