PITTSBURGH — ATF officials confirm to Channel 11 that their agents conducted federal search warrants in two Pittsburgh neighborhoods today.
According to sources, the warrants were related to guns and drugs.
ATF and FBI agents were at a home Fallowfield Avenue in Beechview for hours Tuesday.
At one point, agents had their guns drawn and pointed at the house.
Pittsburgh police officers were also on-scene, blocking the road so no one could get through.
A police spokesperson told Channel 11 that officers were helping the federal agents as they served the warrant.
Hours later, there was another scene near Mintwood Street in Lawrenceville, where the ATF says they were also serving a search warrant this afternoon.
A Channel 11 viewer sent a photo where you can see officers in tactical gear carrying weapons.
ATF officials would not say if the two raids were connected. We are working to find out who the warrants were being served to, and what their charges are.
