Man shot, killed by police in Whitehall after allegedly firing at officers serving warrant

A man was shot and killed by police after allegedly shooting at officers executing a warrant in Whitehall on Tuesday morning.

It happened in the 1800 block of Parkline Drive just after 6 a.m.

Allegheny County police said they were in an apartment building when a 54-year-old man fired multiple shots at officers before retreating. Moments later, the man reemerged with two guns and opened fire, they said. Multiple officers returned fire.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as Selwyn Brown, 54.

No officers were hurt, officials tell Channel 11.
