1 flown to hospital in crash that shut down Pennsylvania Turnpike in Harmar Township

HARMAR TOWNSHIP, Pa. — One person was injured in a crash along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Harmar Township late Thursday morning.

The crash happened at around 11:30 a.m. at mile marker 46.8 between Allegheny Valley and Butler Valley exits.

Turnpike officials said one person had to be extricated from a car and then flown to a hospital.

All lanes were shut down in both directions but have since reopened.
