PITTSBURGH — Snow showers will make untreated roads and sidewalks slick Thursday and could slow your plans. Off and on light snow showers will move in before sunrise and continue through mid-morning leaving a coating to half an inch in most areas.
A second round of snow showers is possible after lunch through the early evening. A few of these could develop into steadier lake effect snow bands bringing a quick accumulation and reduced visibility. Even treated surfaces could become slick again, so check the forecast before heading out.
Most of the snow showers will end by Thursday night with a gradual warm-up on the way heading into the weekend.
