BURGETTSTOWN, Pa. — A startling viral video that is hard to forget shows a woman being hit by a man multiple times after a concert at Star Lake Pavilion.
After being discharged from the hospital, she spoke exclusively with Channel 11 about the brutal attack.
“I just remember waking up to my sister saying, ‘You gotta get up, we gotta go, you gotta get up,” Victoria Kelly said.
In the viral video, you can see a man punching Victoria Kelly in her face four times before she fell to the ground.
“My whole body was just hurting. I couldn’t even walk myself. I was like in shock,” she added.
The assault happened after the Jason Aldean concert last weekend at Star Lake.
Victoria told Channel 11, she, her sister, and her sister’s boyfriend were walking to their cars after the concert when they came upon the man in the video.
“I’m small, I’m not going to pick a fight with a grown man. I was just minding my business,” she said. They say he was yelling insults and slurs to women walking by.
“Just screaming nasty words to them, taunting them… saying nasty things to them, making comments on their bodies, then toward me,” she added
Things turned violent. Victoria says that before the video started recording, she says he punched her once.
Then, the video starts, and you can see the man first punching her sister, then punching Victoria four times.
“It was hurting, I kind of blacked out. He knocked me out. I was laid on the ground,” she said.
She spent two nights in the hospital with a fractured jaw, broken ribs, and a severe concussion.
“He was only going after women to begin with… so it’s just disgusting that he was targeting women like that. And to hit me like that.. it’s just sickening,” she said
She tells us Hanover police are investigating, and at this point, the man in the video is not charged. Washington County’s district attorney also confirmed an investigation.
