PITTSBURGH — The top executive at CB Financial Services for the past six years will remain at the helm for at least a few more. A recent regulatory filing revealed that terms of its agreement with CEO and President John H. Montgomery were amended and restated and his contract ends on April 30, 2029.

Montgomery initially joined CB Financial and its retail arm, Community Bank, on August 31, 2020, after six years at First Bank in St. Louis, Missouri, where he served as chief credit officer. CB Financial searched for a top executive for roughly seven months after CEO Pat O’Brien resigned after less than two years in the role. Barron “Pat” McCune Jr. came out of retirement to lead the bank in the interim.

CB Financial (NASDAQ: CBFV), whose roots go back to 1901, is headquartered in Carmichaels, Greene County. Montgomery is based at its corporate center in Washington, Pennsylvania. It is the 14th largest bank in the 10-county metro by deposit market share, according to the FDIC’s recently released data for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026. Deposits in the Pittsburgh region, where 11 of its 14 branches are located, rose 8.2% year-over-year to $1.14 billion. CB Financial’s total assets were $1.656 billion as of the end of the second quarter.
