Capital One resolves outage impacting electronic payments, transfers

Capital One has resolved an issue that affected some customers’ ability to access their money online.

The company says the outage was due to a technical issue with a third-party vendor which delayed the timely processing of some banking transactions and impacted online banking services.

The issue has since been resolved, Capital One said in an email to customers on Sunday.

In that email, Capital One also that the outage was not related to fraud or the work of bad actors trying to access their systems. All Capital One accounts remain secure.
