BUTLER, Pa. — The Butler VA is holding events to promote heart health during February.
Three educational events will be held as part of the VA’s Go Red for Women Initiative.
Those events will be:
- Go Red for Women Event - Friday, February 7, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at Steele’s Brushes and Ceramics in Butler
- Heart Health Month Event for Women Veterans - Thursday, February 13 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Abie Abraham VA Clinic
- Heart Health Month Event (open to all!) - Wednesday, February 19 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the main lobby at the Abie Abraham VA Clinic
“Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women and is more deadly than all forms of cancer combined,” said Rebecca Brown, the Butler VA’s Women Veterans Program Manager. “The good news is that there’s a lot we can do to prevent it. We encourage all women Veterans to learn about their cardiovascular health by joining us at this year’s educational events!”
The American Heart Association will help host all three events.
