PITTSBURGH — Antisemitic fliers were spread throughout Squirrel Hill.

Pittsburgh Police said they have received multiple reports about antisemitic messages being placed throughout the neighborhood.

Different versions of the fliers were sealed in clear bags and weighted with kernels of corn. Officers believe this was so the bags could be thrown from a moving vehicle.

Witnesses gave various descriptions of the suspect vehicle and the driver, but the most common description was that it was a man with red hair.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh provided photos of the suspect vehicle, which they said had an Ohio license plate. Around 3-4 people were inside.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh sent Channel 11 a statement, saying in part that it “strongly condemns yesterday’s hate-fueled actions by members of the Goyim Defense League, who distributed antisemitic and racist flyers and shouted slurs at Jewish residents in Squirrel Hill.”
