CRESCENT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Crescent Township Police have arrested three people who they say broke into a hospitalized man’s home. Police said that the man’s son helped them catch the thieves.
“It’s a little frightening. We are so used to it being quiet around here,” said neighbor Cindy Fowkes.
Neighbors are reacting after a shocking burglary in their neighborhood in Crescent Township. Three women, Kristi Jo Webb, Ashlee Colton and Deandra Stone, are accused of breaking into a home over the weekend.
Police said they responded to a home along Harper Road Saturday afternoon after getting a 911 call from the homeowner’s son. The son said he went to his father’s house to grab a few items while his dad is hospitalized and found three women inside he didn’t know and a U-Haul outside.
“It’s very shocking. It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood so yeah definitely don’t like to hear that happening,” said neighbor Megan Schreiber.
An officer showed up, and questioned the women inside. They claimed they were helping a friend move.
Police said they saw signs of forced entry and the U-Haul van in the driveway was reported stolen out of Monroeville.
Police arrested and charged the three women.
“Thank goodness that’s a little too close to home,” said Fowkes.
“This is big surprise and I’m glad they caught them and hopefully that never happens again, “said Schreiber.
The three women face several charges including burglary.
