SOUTH PARK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Multiple people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in South Park Township on Sunday.

Allegheny County dispatchers said emergency crews were called to Broughton Road at 1:45 p.m.

According to the Broughton Volunteer Fire Department, three vehicles crashed.

One of those vehicles was an ambulance, firefighters said. A red Mustang sustained heavy damage to its front. A third car was also damaged.

Firefighters said three people had to be taken to a hospital from the scene of the crash.

Broughton Road appeared to have been covered in snow at the time of the crash. It was closed while crews worked at the scene but has since reopened.

The cause of the crash has not been released at this time.
