PITTSBURGH — With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, a popular restaurant reservation service has released its annual list of top romantic restaurants — and it features a couple of Pittsburgh spots.
OpenTable analyzed millions of diner reviews to develop its Top 100 Romantic Restaurants in America for 2025. The restaurants featured vary in atmosphere but are all considered romantic, so there’s sure to be a spot for anyone.
The list features five Pennsylvania restaurants, including two in Pittsburgh. Just like in 2024, OpenTable deemed Monterey Bay Fish Grotto and Altius among the most romantic restaurants nationwide.
Monterey Bay Fish Grotto is the area’s “premier seafood restaurant” and is known for its incredible skyline views. The menu boasts crab cakes, over 10 species of fresh fish each night and house-made cocktails featuring Pennsylvania sourced spirits.
Altius, a fine-dining restaurant that also offers stunning skyline views, offers a contemporary and refined take on American cuisine in its ingredient-driven menu. The chefs try to source sustainable, organic or local products whenever possible.
