PITTSBURGH — Two men were shot, one fatally, overnight in Lawrenceville.
Pittsburgh public safety officials say police were called to the 5000 block of Butler Street around 3 a.m. Saturday for a reported shooting.
Soon afterward, two men who’d been shot arrived at a nearby hospital by private means.
One man, believed to be in his 20s, was shot in the torso and was in critical condition.
In an update around 2 p.m., officials said the man died from his injuries.
A second man in his 30s was shot in the leg and is in stable condition.
In an update issued at 7:43 p.m., Pittsburgh Police said they had filed charges against Randell Antonio Tate, 22, of Pittsburgh.
Tate is charged with criminal homicide and aggravated assault.
Court documents identify the man who was killed as Davon Smith.
