PITTSBURGH — Members of the Channel 11 Morning News team were on hand to help pack boxes of food for families for Light of Life’s annual Hope and Turkey food drive.
“It’s beautiful to see this come together because it’s our community. There are people from different backgrounds, suburbs, cities. It doesn’t matter, political stripes, we’re all here together because we care about people. And that’s what Pittsburgh is about,” said Jerrel Gilliam, executive director of the Light of Life Rescue Mission.
He added not only does their mission focus on helping the homeless, but drives like this also help keep people in their homes.
