BUTLER, Pa. — A man was killed overnight in a shooting in Butler City.
Butler County dispatchers say police officers and medics were called to the 200 block of American Avenue at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
Butler City Police say bystanders were giving first aid to a man who had been shot once when they arrived. That man was identified as Christopher Waggett, 47, from Butler City. He died after being taken to a local hospital.
Witnesses told police Waggett was shot after getting into an argument with Sean Williams, 37, of Butler City.
Williams was found hiding nearby and taken into custody, police said.
He faces criminal homicide charges.

There were no other injuries.
Anyone who saw the shooting or the argument is asked to contact Butler City Police Department by calling 911 and requesting Sgt. Det. Ryan Doctor.
