DUNBAR TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Four people were taken to a hospital from the scene of a house fire in Fayette County Wednesday morning.
911 dispatchers have confirmed that there was a house fire on Miles Road in Dunbar Township, beginning around 2 a.m. this morning. This is just north of the Blue Canoe RV Resort.
A mother, father, son and caretaker were inside the home when the fire broke out.
State police tell us it was the caretaker who was able to stop the fire from spreading further and save the lives of those inside.
Three people were flown from the scene, and the other was taken by an ambulance.
The mother is in critical condition. The three other people are in stable condition.
The state fire marshal is working to figure out how and where in the home the fire started
State police continue to investigate.
