PITTSBURGH — Our 11 Cares partner Duquesne Light is a sponsor of Pittsburgh Earth Day.
Pittsburgh Earth Day is a citywide celebration of sustainability providing engaging programming for the region.
The Earth Day Tailgate Tour took place on April 22 and kicked off in the Hill District near PPG Paints Saturday.
Guests got to meet the Pirate Parrot, the Pirates Pierogies and the Bucco Brigade.
Tailgate favorites were available, as well as an educational workshop from Duquesne Light about saving money on your bill.
“The community has an opportunity to work with each other as assets and really build one another up and build the community up through food. Food is the one thing we all have in common,” said Chef Claudy Pierre of the EAT Initiative.
Guests also got the chance to see one of Duquesne Light’s new all-electric Ford F-150 Lightnings.
