Nicole Ford joined the WPXI team in September of 2021.
She’s ecstatic to continue reporting in her hometown for the station she grew up watching.
For the last two years, she worked as a Reporter for KDKA-TV covering major stories in the region from the Southside fire that brought down an historic building to the Black Lives Matter Protests in the city and covering every angle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Previously, Nicole worked as a Reporter at WSPA-TV in Greenville, SC and was a Weekend Anchor and Reporter at WCTI-12 in Greenville, NC.
While in the Carolina’s, she covered the landfall of Hurricane Matthew that caused historic flooding in the state, broke the story of BMX legend Dave Mirra’s death, and spent weeks in the courtroom for the Townville Elementary School shooter trial.
She also had the opportunity to travel to the Florida Panhandle to cover the aftermath of Hurricane Michael, which is one of only four Category 5 hurricanes to make landfall in the U.S.
Nicole is originally from the North Hills and grew up in Mars. She attended West Virginia University where she studied Journalism. Go Mountaineers!
In her free time, she loves traveling, reading, paddle boarding and spending time with her dog and family.
