Gabriella DeLuca, WPXI-TV
Reporter
Gabriella couldn’t be more thrilled to be returning to her hometown of Pittsburgh!
She is a Hampton High School alum, then went on to Ohio University, where she graduated with a broadcast journalism degree. Since then, she’s been pursuing her reporting career throughout the country.
She began freelancing at WPXI in April 2017, and became a full-time reporter in July.
Before moving back home, Gabriella worked as a reporter for four years at WTKR in Norfolk, Virginia. She lived in Virginia Beach, where she was just a block away from the Chesapeake Bay. While there, she covered countless stories, including the tragic murder of two WDBJ journalists.
The beach was a warm welcome after her first reporting job in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where she worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WLUC. She loved exploring the UP, and trying new activities including snowmobiling and dog sledding!
But nothing beats being back at home, where she’s with her family and reporting for the news station she grew up watching. Not only does she love Pittsburgh, but the people here too, and she’s so honored to tell their stories.
