Cold weather expected over the weekend, scattered snow showers possible

PITTSBURGH — You’ll need the winter coats, hats and gloves this weekend. Winterlike cold is settling in.

Temperatures will struggle to get out of the 30s Saturday and wind chills will stay in the 20s. Scattered snow showers will also pop up after lunch Saturday, and a few spots could see quickly changing conditions. Reduced visibility and a coating to around 1″ of snow may create slick spots, so check the forecast before you head out.

Wind chills early Sunday morning will be in the single digits to low teens so layer up again as you head out to church or work.
