PITTSBURGH — The weather will be perfect to start the weekend, with plenty of sunshine and a quick warm-up in temperatures on Saturday. Don’t forget the hats and sunscreen if you’re headed down to run the Pittsburgh Kids Marathon or the 5k Saturday morning.
The weather will be great for those who are gardening too. Right now the Severe Weather Team 11 5 Day Forecast does not include the threat of frost, but check the live forecast updates if you do some planting.
A few showers or a stray storm will be possible Sunday, but the day will not be a washout. Those running The Pittsburgh Marathon or cheering may see a stray shower around sunrise then a break before a better chance for showers develops after lunch. A thunderstorm could also develop bringing gusty winds and brief downpours.
