Showers, storms will develop Saturday afternoon

PITTSBURGH — Keep in mind, we need the rain!

Most areas haven’t seen even a tenth of an inch of rain over the last 11 days. We’ll make up for that a bit this weekend.

Afternoon showers and storms will develop both Saturday and Sunday. There will be plenty of dry hours this weekend, but if you hear thunder - head indoors.

Some of the storms will be slow movers. That could lead to isolated flooding issues this weekend. The heaviest rain of the weekend arrives Sunday after sunset with a cold front bring numerous showers and storms.

It will be much colder by Monday with highs only in the lower 50s. We’ll see some flurries in a few areas Tuesday morning with temperatures in the 30s.
