PITTSBURGH — Cold rain or several inches of snow. It will all depend on your location.

A wintry storm system will arrive before sunrise Friday spreading rain and snow into the area. Many areas from Allegheny county south will see primarily rain or a brief period of snow changing to rain.

Snow will take longer to transition over to rain the farther north you go from Pittsburgh. Places like Butler, New Castle and Kittanning could pick up a slushy inch or two before any change to rain. Areas north of the I-80 corridor could see 2″-5″ of snow by late in the day.

Colder air wraps in Saturday with snow flurries and isolated snow showers for everyone.
