Chilly start to Monday, warming trend continues through rest of the week

PITTSBURGH — It will be nice and pleasant this evening, with comfortable conditions. You may have noticed a haze in the sky early this evening, that is smoke high in the atmosphere from western Canadian wildfires. This hazy sky is possible at times again Monday and Tuesday.

Another chilly start Monday, so the kids may need a jacket for the bus stop in the morning. Look for a warming trend early this week, highs will reach the mid-70s Monday and the upper 70s near 80 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday. A cold front will move through on Wednesday, only bringing cooler air into place with a slight chance of a spotty or stray shower but very little to no rainfall is expected into the start of Memorial Day weekend. Temperatures will drop back to average or just below for the remainder of the work week. Make sure to stay safe in the sun, and have your sunglasses and sunscreen when spending time outside.

Severe Weather Team 11 will have a look at the forecast for Memorial Day weekend tonight on Channel 11 News.
