It happened on Oxbridge Drive right on the Ross Township, McCandless line.

“A knock came at the door. I came out and it was starting to go,” Joy Werner said.

Werner was inside her home when a waterline under her driveway burst.

“I was taking a little nap because I’m old,” Werner said.

The geyser was captured through the lens of Chopper 11. Video shows the water shooting well over a two-story home, soaking power lines, shingles and siding.

Neighbors tell Channel 11 the main burst around 2:15 p.m. and it took a little more than an hour for West View Water crews to shut off the water.

“My whole backyard is flooded,” Joe Ertl said.

He lives next door.

Both Ertl and Wener were thankful the damage wasn’t worse.

West View Water officials tell Channel 11 it’s difficult to pinpoint what caused the break.
