Person rescued from car after vehicle rolls over onto its roof in Allegheny County

ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A person was rescued from their vehicle after a rollover crash in Allegheny County.

The vehicle rolled over onto its roof and hit a telephone pole. The pole appeared to end up sheared in half.

Members of the Ross West View EMSA said a person in the vehicle became trapped and was in a dangerous situation. Emergency crews were able to remove the person in 30 minutes.

Medics treated the victim for hypothermia and their injuries. They said the patient was awake and they expect them to do well.

The accident occurred on Bascom Avenue near Briercliff Apartments on Saturday evening.

Members from Ross Westview EMSA said the crash marked their 20th call for the day and was the third serious vehicle crash they responded to.
