Katherine Amenta is co-anchor of the award winning, Channel 11 Morning News. As a three-time Emmy winner, Katherine has covered many pivotal moments in Pittsburgh since 2013, including the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting, the Franklin Regional High School stabbings and the Fern Hollow Bridge collapse. She has also served as moderator in key political debates for congressional and state races. She is a Philadelphia native and a graduate of the (National Champion!) Villanova University. Katherine got her start in television as an associate producer at Comcast SportsNet in Philadelphia and as an anchor/reporter at WMDT in Salisbury, Maryland. Before joining WPXI, Katherine was a morning news anchor at NewsChannel 8 in Washington, D.C. In her free time she enjoys going to Pirates games and spending time with her big Italian family!
